Sealing & Small Bonding Applications
Sealing or bonding in caravans and motorhomes can be challenging—especially when easy application and reliable adhesion are essential.
DEKASYL MS-1 is the ideal solution: this high-adhesion sealant is suitable for a wide range of interior and exterior applications and is as easy to apply as silicone thanks to its low viscosity. It offers excellent adhesion on most substrates without the need for a primer. The elastic, low-odor sealant is UV- and aging-resistant, non-corrosive, paintable, and sandable. With its broad adhesion spectrum, it’s perfect for visible joints.
Connecting Components
Demanding bonding and sealing tasks often require a combination of high elasticity and strong adhesion.
DEKASYL MS-2 delivers exactly that: this multifunctional adhesive and sealant is ideal for creating elastic connections between components where strong adhesion is also required. It’s easy to apply and adheres to many surfaces without pre-treatment. DEKASYL MS-2 can be painted wet-on-wet (pre-testing recommended). Free from solvents, isocyanates, and PVC, it is UV- and aging-resistant and adheres without primer to various substrates—also suitable as a sealant for PVC flooring.
Bonding Holders, Covers & Components
For semi-structural bonding in caravans and motorhomes, high initial tack and long-term strength are crucial—especially for holders, covers, and components exposed to heavy loads.
DEKASYL MS-5 is a powerful MS polymer adhesive developed for these requirements. Its high initial strength significantly reduces fixing times, often eliminating the need for clamps. This adhesive and sealant remains permanently elastic, vibration-resistant, and offers excellent tear strength and a wide adhesion range. It is UV-, weather-, and aging-resistant, as well as resistant to chemicals and saltwater. Ideal for elastic bonding and sealing, e.g., for satellite and solar panels, cable entries, awning mounts, edge profiles, sheet metal and aluminum parts, and insulation materials such as PVC or Styrofoam on wood and metal.
Sealing & Bonding Joints, Spoilers & Sanitary Areas
In caravan and motorhome construction, reliable adhesives and sealants that adhere securely to different materials—without complex pre-treatment—are essential.
DEKASYL MS-6 meets these demands: this highly elastic adhesive and sealant adheres excellently to many substrates. It performs exceptionally well on difficult surfaces such as plastics—usually without special surface preparation.
The product is odorless, free from solvents, isocyanates, silicone, and PVC, and offers outstanding UV and aging resistance. DEKASYL MS-6 is ideal for elastic seals indoors and outdoors, for connection joints on windows, doors, roofs, and floors, as well as for sanitary applications, as it does not attack surfaces.
Transparent Bonding & Sealing (Interior)
Transparent seals require special material properties—especially for interior applications such as kitchens or bathrooms.
DEKASYL MS-7 is a clear, elastic adhesive and sealant developed specifically for these tasks. It adheres reliably without primer to a wide range of substrates, including glazed surfaces, enamel, and painted wood. The sealant is low-odor, weather-resistant, non-corrosive, and silicone-free. For interior applications where transparent and durable sealing is essential, DEKASYL MS-7 is the first choice.
Windscreen Bonding
Safe and fast bonding of windscreens demands high-performance adhesives—particularly in caravans, vehicles, and commercial transport.
DEKASYL MS-8 is a high-modulus windscreen adhesive based on MS polymer technology, designed for these applications. With its very high initial strength and rapid build-up of adhesion, it enables secure installation with minimal fixing time.
The adhesive bonds excellently and primer-free to glass and ceramic-printed windscreens. It also adheres well to freshly trimmed PU and MS adhesive beads. Free from isocyanates, solvents, silicone, and PVC, DEKASYL MS-8 is UV- and aging-resistant and offers a safe drive-away time of just one hour.
Bonding Attachments
When fast curing is required for bonding and sealing tasks, single-component systems often reach their limits—especially for large-area bonding.
DEKASYL 240 is the perfect solution for quick and reliable bonding of components. It offers a long open time of up to 30 minutes, providing ample flexibility for precise work. After just one hour, the bond achieves good strength, allowing components to be processed quickly.
Combined with DINITROL 540 Activator, even difficult substrates such as plastics can be bonded without sanding. This fast curing combined with extended working time significantly reduces cycle, standstill, and process times—cutting curing from several days to just a few hours. Vehicles can return to service within hours.
Thanks to its standard cartridge format, compatible with common applicator guns, application is simple. DEKASYL 240 also impresses with a broad adhesion spectrum.
